The South African National Civic Organisation (SANCO) National Executive Committee (NEC) and Provincial Executive Committee (PEC), led by General Secretary Cde Mike Soko, will pay a courtesy visit to Kgosi Nyalala Pilane and the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Tribal Authority in Moruleng. The visit is aimed at paying respects to the traditional leadership and formally informing the Kgosi of SANCO’s planned mobilisation and build-up activities ahead of the African National Congress (ANC) January 8 Statement.The delegation has proposed that the visit take place on 4 January 2026, at a time and venue convenient to Kgosi Nyalala Pilane and the Tribal Authority. SANCO is seeking the blessing of the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela leadership before commencing with its scheduled activities from 5 to 7 January 2026. The ANC January 8 Statement will be hosted in Moruleng on 10 January 2026, placing the area at the heart of national political activity in the early days of the new year.
