Today, 05 January 2026, an ANC delegation led by ANC President, Cde Cyril Ramaphosa, paid a courtesy visit to the Bakgatla ba Kgafela Traditional Authority. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Kgosi Nyalala Pilane and the royal family.In line with African customs, the visit formally announced the ANC’s presence in the area and upcoming engagements with the royal family. It also reaffirmed the ANC’s respect for the important role traditional leadership plays in guiding and serving our communities.This visit takes place ahead of the ANC January 8 Statement, which will be held at Moruleng Stadium on 10 January 2026.
